The height of a a triangle is 6 centimeters more than double its base in centimeters. What is the height of the triangle, in centimeters, if the base of the triangle is 8 centimeters?

    It's double so

    8*2=16

    And then 6 cm more so

    16+6=22cm

    The height is 22cm

    H=2b+6 and you are told that b=8 so

    h=2 (8) + 6

    h=16+6

    h=22cm
