Two people start walking at the same time in the same direction. One person walks at 3 mph and the other person walks at 5 mph. In how many hours will they be 1.5 miles apart?

    Our equation is 1.5 = 5x + 3x, x being the hours. We can combine 3x and 5x, getting 8x, then we can divide both sides by 8, getting x =.1865
