    3x+6x+1=10

    9x+1=10

    9x+1-1=10-1

    9x=9

    9x/9=9/9

    x=1

    Y=6x+1

    sub 6x+1 for y in other equation

    3x+6x+1=10

    9x+1=10

    minus 1 both sides

    9x=9

    divide both sides by 9

    x=1

    sub back

    y=6x+1

    y=6 (1) + 1

    y=7

    x=1

    y=7
