A force that keeps an object at a fixed angle is called centripetal force. Centripetal force refers to a movement of an object in a circular motion. The velocity of an object is changing in direction but the magnitude remains. The force of an object stays on the center; the velocity of an object depends on the mass of an object.

One example is swinging a rope. The velocity will depends on how heavy the object you will put on the end of the rope. The heavier the object the faster it will rotate.
