One side of a square is 10 units. Which is greater, the number of square units for the area of the square or the number of units for the perimeter? Explain.

    To find the area of a square it is 10x10=100 units and to find perimeter it is 10x4=40 units so the area is larger

    The area of the square is 100 square inches (10*10) <

    and perimeter is 40 inches (10+10+10+10 or 10*4).
