A right prism has a rhombus as a base. The height of the prism is 6 inches and the volume is 144 cubic inches.

Which could be the lengths of the diagonals of the rhombus?

    A volume of a prism is base area times its height.

    V = Ah

    to solve the length of the diagonal, first solve the A area of the base

    A = V/h

    A = 144 / 6

    A = 24

    then the formula for the area of rhombus is:

    A = pq

    where p and q are the diagonal.

    24 = pq

    so just find which of the choices will have a product of 24
