To get the Least Common Multiple (LCM) of 5 and 9 we need to factor each value first and then we choose all the factors which appear in any column and multiply them:

    5: 5 9: 33 LCM: 335

    The Least Common Multiple (LCM) is: 3 x 3 x 5 = 45

Also anything times 5 ends with 0 or 5. So when you look at the multiples of 9 just look to see if anything ends with 0 or 5. Which would be 45.

    9: 9,18,27,36,45

    5: 5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45
