Since the scooter costs $10, we can subtract $10 from $27.

    That leaves us with $17.

    The scooter costs $4.25/hr, so:

17 / 4.25 = the hours that Maddy can rent the scooter for.

    17 / 4.25 = 4

Maddy can rent the scooter for 4 hours.
