This problem is solved by cross multiplication. Make the ratios equal to each other: Kilograms over price and then cross mulitiply: 0.7 kg / $ 1.89 = 1.0 kg / x Cross multiply and the result is 0.7x = 1.89 Divide 1.89 by 0.7 The result is $ 2.70 for 1 kilogram of jelly beans.
