Molly bought a large basket of 60 apples. When she got home, she found 4 rotten ones. If she goes back and buys 200 more apples, how many rotten apples would she expect there to be

    first find out how many sets of 60 there are

    200/60=3.3

    3.3 sets of 4 apples

    but you can't have 2/3 of a rotten apple

    so 3.5 sets of 4 rotten apples
