    Club A: $26 + $29x

    Club B: $22 + $30x

When (for what x value) will the cost of Club A equal the cost of Club B?

    26 + 29x = 22 + 30 x = > 4 = x

The costs will be equal after 4 months.

    The cost per club will be 22 + 30 (4), or $142.

    Note that 26 + 29 (4) = $142 also.
