Each tire on a car has a radius of 0.330 m and is rotating with an angular speed of 15.9 revolutions/s. find the linear speed v of the car, assuming that the tires are not slipping against the ground.

    C = 2pi r = 2 pi 0.330 = 2.07 m = 1 rev

    13 rev/s (2.17m/rev) = 26.9 m/s

    26.9m/s (3600s/hr) (1 km/1000 m) = 96.8 km/hr

    96.8 km/hr (.62 m/km) = 60 mph
