Work out the area of a parallelogram of base 6cm and height 8cm

    The formula of a parallelogram is given to on a maths gcse paper

    It is Area = base x height

    You simple substitute the numbers in 6 and 8

    6 x 8 = 48

    the answer is 48 cm squared

    you must remember the squared sign because you are working out the area of something
