    let width be x

    length = 2+x

    area of rectangle = length * width

    x (x+2) = 35

    x²+2x-35=0

    x²+7x-5x-35=0

    x (x+7) - 5 (x+7) = 0

    (x+7) (x-5) = 0

    x = - 7,5

    since length cant be negative

    therefore the

    width=7units

    length=2+7=9 units
