    Evaluate what is known

    2ab=2 (4) (3) = 24

    b^2=3^2=9

    3a^2=3 (4^2) = 3 (16) = 48

    A. 2a=8

    B. 2b=6

    C. 4a=16

    D. 4b=12

    so

    2ab+b^2>3a^2-? translates to

    24+9>48-?

    33>48-?

    add? to both sides

    33+?>48

    minus 33 both sides

    ?>15

    the only choice bigger than 15 is 16 which is C

    answer is C
