The gas price per gallon decreased from $2.20 per gallon to $1.96 per gallon. What percent was the decrease?

    2.20 - 1.96 = 0.24 which is the decrease.

    (0.24/2.2) x 100 = 120/11 which is approximately 10.91% (2dp)
