A triangular fence is being built to surround a garden. If two of the side lengths must be 4 feet and 12 feet, which inequality shows the possible length of the third side?

4 < x < 16

8< x < 16

    The third side cannot be 16 or greater than 16.

    also it must be greater than 8 (because 4+8 = 12 = the other sde)

    The answer is B 8 < x < 16
