    Add like terms

one way to understand adding like terms is the distributive propery

    a (b+c) = ab+ac so

    8c+5c = (8+5) c

    then add 8+5=13

    (13) c

    13c so

    13c+21

we can't add them together since the 21 doesn't have a placeholder with it

    the answer is 13c+21

13c + 21 I'm pretty sure it stays like that because of the variable C.
