If you multiply two numbers, is the product (answer) always the first multiple of those two numbers? Why or why not?

    No. If the greatest common factor of the two numbers is greater than 1, then their first multiple is their product divided by their greatest common factor.

    For example, the greatest common factor of 4 and 6 is 2. Then their first multiple is 4*6/2 = 12
