Why do you get a positive 2y when you subtract a - 2y from a positive 0y?

    If the equation is - 2y=0, you have to add the the - 2y to the other side, so it turns out to be 0=+2y.

    Because - 2y + 2y equals zero because negitive plus positive always equals zero
