Suppose you are given the coordinates of the vertices of a polygon. What steps could you take to solve a problem involving the polygon's area?

    First find the length of all the sides.

    Then divide that polygon (if it has more than 4 sides or an irregular quadrilateral) into triangles.

    Find the area of triangles so formed by Heron's formula.

    Than sum the area of all the triangles. The sum will be the area of the polygon.
