The following set of numbers is going to be graphed on a histogram. If there are going to be four intervals, what will the length of each interval be?

15, 18, 17, 21, 23, 27, 16, 21, 29, 24, 14, 14, 19, 22

    4 intervals means that the entire histogram is separated into fourths. There are 14 numbers, but some are duplicates, so you have to cancel those out (two 14s, 21s) so that leaves you with 12 numbers. 12/4 = 3, so the length of each is 3.
