Team A has 42 members. Team B has 18 more members than Team A. What percent of the members from Team B must be transferred to Team A so that Team A has as many members as Team B?

    60 = members of team B

    Let x = percent of members transferred

    0.01x * 60 = 0.6x = no of members transferred

    60 - 0.6x = 42 + 0.6x

    60 = 42 + 1.2x

    15 % of the members on Team B must be transferred to Team A.

    Check:

    60 - 0.6 * 15 = 42 + 0.6 * 15

    60 - 9 = 42 + 9
