What is the missing term, x, in the pattern below?

    The answer is C or 9 because it goes in order of numbers squared i. e. - 1 squared is 1, 2 squared is 4, 3 squared is 9, then 4 squared is 16.

    The answer is d because you multiply 4*2 = 8 and 4*4=16 so yeah it's 8
