A muffin recipe, which yields 12 muffins, calls for 2/3 cup of milk for every 1 3/4 cups of flour. The same recipe calls for 1/4 cup of coconut for every 3/4 cup of chopped apple.

If all ingredients in this recipe are changed proportionately, how many muffins should you yield from a batch that contains 1 1/8 cups of chopped apple?

    18muffins

    Step-by-step explanation:

if 3/4 cups of chopped apple will produce 12 muffins

    then 1 1/8 (9/8) cups of chopped apple = 12 x 9/8 : 3/4

    = 12 x 9/8 x 4/3

    = 18
