A road crew is widening a street that is 36 feet wide. Their scale drawing says that the new street has to be 125% of the width of the current street. How wide should the new street be?

    New street = 125% * 36=45

    therefore the new street should be 45 feet wide

    1/4 of 36 is 9 9+36=45 so the street will be 45 feet wide
