Mrs. Smith decides to buy three sweaters and a pair of jeans. she had $120 in her wallet. if the price of jeans is $35, what is the highest possible price (p) of a sweater, if each sweater, if each sweater is the same price? write, solve, and graph the inequality.

    120=3p+35

    95=3p

    28.33=p

    120 could be less than or equal to 3 time the price of the sweaters plus 35. You just have to solve from there. Subtract 35 from both sides and you get 95 equals 3p. Then divide eacg sude by 3 and the greatest price of the sweaters could be roughly $28.33
