    Quarters (Q) : $0.25

    Nickels (N) : $0.05

    Quantity: Q + N = 27 → -.05 (Q + N = 27) → -.05Q -.05N = - 1.35

    Worth:.25Q +.05N = 2.75 → 1 (.25Q +.05N = 2.75) →.25Q +.05N = 2.75

    .20Q = 1.40

    Q = 7

    Answer: 7 quarters
