Let the first integer be x, since they are consecutive, the other will be x + 1

Following the question;

x-9 = 3 (x + 1)

x - 9 = 3x + 3

3x-x = - 3-9

2x = - 12

x = - 12/2

x = - 6 and x + 1 = - 6 + 1 = - 5

The integers are - 6 and - 5
