For the multiple choice question, choose the correct answer from the choices below. A can of soda is in the shape of a cylinder. The formula for the volume of a cylinder is V = "pi"r^2h where r is the radius of the can and h is the height of the can. If a can of soda is 4.83 inches high and has a radius of 1.3 inches, what is the volume (in square inches) of a can of soda? Use 3.14 as an estimation for pi and round your answer to one decimal place.

    V = π r²h

    We know that h = 4.83 inches, and r = 1.3 inches. So all we do is replace each variable in equation by its value.

    V = π r²h

    V = 3.14 * (1.3) ² * 4.83

    V = 3.14 * 1.69 * 4.83

    V ≈ 25.63

    So the volume of a can of soda is 25.6 square inches.

    Cylinder Volume = π • r² • height

    Cylinder Volume = π • 1.3*1.3 * 4.83

    Cylinder Volume = 3.14 * 1.69 * 4.83

    Cylinder Volume = 25.630878

    answer is "c"
