    Let Judy be j years old;

    Then James is 4j

    In two years time

    Judy = (j+2) years

    James = (4j+2) years

    James will twice as old;

    4j+2=2 (j+2)

    4j+2=2j+4

    4j-2j=4-2

    2j=2

    j=1

    Judy is 1 year old and James is 4 years old
