In a figure, a pair of parallel lines is cut by a transversal. What is the measure of angle B if the measure of angle C is 35?

    1) If angle 1 and 2are corresponding angles

    Then they are equal

    5x-10=3x+60

    5x-3x=60+10

    2x=70

    x=70/2

    x=35

    Therefore

    One angle=5x-10=5*35-10=175-10=165

    Then angle 2 is also 165 degrees

    2) if these two angles are linear pair or interior angles of same side of the the transversal

    Sum of it is supplementary

    Therefore

    <1+<2=180

    5x-10+3x+60=180

    8x+50=18£

    8x=180-50

    8x=130

    x=130/8
