Perpendicular lines and intersecting lines are the same because they both describe 2 lines that cross one another ...

They are different because perpendicular lines cross one another in a specific way. The intersection of perpendicular lines forms 90 degree angles, while intersecting lines just describes 2 lines crossing. It could be at any angle.

Perpendicular lines = two line segments are perpendicular if they meet at the right angle.

Intersecting lines = two line segments that cross at any angle.

the difference is perpendicular lines have to cross at a right angle. intersecting lines that cross at any angle

the similarity is because they both cross each other.
