Select the equation that most accurately depicts the word problem. A class of 19 pupils has five more girls than boys. Let n = the number of boys. n + (n + 19) = 5 n + (n + 5) = 19 n - (n + 5) = 19 n + (n - 19) = 5

    N + (n + 5) = 19 should be the answer, if it is wrong then sorry ...

    n + (n + 5) = 19 is the best answer because they're are 19 people in the class so the total would be 19, now there is 5 more girls than boys and "n" represents the number of boys so you would put n + 5 = 19. You wouldn't subtract, you would add.
