In Ms Perron's class there are 24 students. 18 of them are boys. what percents of the students are girls?

    We know that there are 6 girls (24 - 18). Now we need to find the percent of 6 of 24. To do that we divide 100% by 24, which is 4.166666666 ... Then we do that times 6, which is 25. Therefore, 25% of the students are girls.

    24 - 18 = 6 so 6/24 = 0.25 or 25%
