The length of the plot is 4 times bigger than the width. The area is 2,500 square feet. What is the length and width of the plot in feet

    2500 = x*4x

    2500 = 4x^2 - - > divide by 4x^2

    625 = x

    Take the square root

    x = + or - 25, but it’s got to be positive

    Width = 25 feet

    Length = 25*4 = 100 feet
