A die is rolled twice. the value of both rolls are added together. what is the probability of the sum being greater than 7

    Sum can be 8,9,10,11,12.

    8 can be 2+6,3+5,4+4,5+3,6+2 ... so, 5 ways

    9 can be 3+6,4+5, ... 4 ways

    10 ... 4+6,6+4,5+5 ... 3 ways

    11 ... 5+6,6+5 ... 2 ways

    12 ... 6+6 ... 1way

    total = 5+4+3+2+1=15 favourable cases

    P=15/36=5/12
