A recent census listed the population of a city as 831,982. Marisol rounds the population to 830,000, and Lindy rounds the population to 800,000. Who rounded the population correctly? Explain, and which rounded pop is a more accurate estimate?

    The census because it is rounded to the nearest thousandth which is a smaller range of numbers compared to the nearest one-hundred thousandth
