Mrs. Longchamp bought 12 non-fiction books and 16 fantasy books.

    Given:

    Total cost = 224

    Total # of books = 28

    cost of non-fiction = $96

    cost of fantasy = $128

Each book has the same price. So,

    $224/28 = $8 per book

    Non-fiction books = $96/$8 = 12 books bought

    Fantasy books = $128/$8 = 16 books bought.
