    3/4 (x + 8) > 1/2 (2x + 10)

    (3/4) x + (3/4) * 8 > (1/2) * (2x) + (1/2) * 10

    (3/4) x + 6 > x + 5

    (3/4) x - (3/4) x+6 > x - (3/4) x + 5

    6-5> (1/4) x + 5-5

    4*1>4 * (1/4) x

    4>x, or x<4

    So, answer is C (-∞, 4).

    3/4 (x + 8) > 1/2 (2x + 10)

    0.75x + 6 > x + 5

    0.75x - x > 5 - 6

    -0.25x > - 1

    0.25x < 1

    x < 1/0.25

    x < 4

    C (-∞, 4)
