Make a conjecture. Choose the correct answer below.

A.

The sum is equal to the number of terms squared.

B.

The sum is the product of the number of terms and the number of terms minus one.

    An = A1 + (N-1) d

    A1 is the first term (in this case 2)

    d is the common difference (what is the difference between all consecutive even numbers? 2)

    N is the number of terms to find (in this case 29)

    An = 2 + (29-1) 2 = 58

    I would say none of the above, unless you typed it wrong. The sum is the product of the number of terms minus one and two, plus two more. So it's almost answer B but not really. Good luck with this one.
