This is because the x-value is negative, and therefore is on the left side of the axis; and the y-value is positive, and therefore is on the top side of the axis. Putting this together, we find that (-2.7) is in Quadrant 2.

Quadrant two.
Due to the fact that the negative 2 would bring it to the left side and the 7 brings it up so itll be on upper left corner or quadrant 2
