    Therefore Thomas represent the cost

    C = 75d+0.25m

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Given that, Thomas rented a van for $ 75 a day with addition $0.25 for each mile.

    The rent for the van for 1 day is $75.

    Then the rent for the van for d days is $ (75*d)

    =$75d.

    The charge for 1 mile is $ 0.25.

    Then the charge for m miles $ (0.25*m)

    = $ 0.25m.

    Total cost is

    C = 75d+0.25m

    where C is the total cost in $.

    d is time in day.

    and m is the distance in miles.

    Therefore Thomas represent the cost

    C = 75d+0.25m
