    X: number of one-bedroom apartments

    y: number two bedroom apartments

    x + y = 12

    1360x + 1450y = 49,500

    x = 12 - y

    1360[12 - y] + 1450y = 49500

    16320 - 1360y + 1450y = 49500

    90y = 33180

    y = 33180/90

    y = 368.7

    As per my understanding, It is weird that the result is not an integer number. I think that either the information is wrong or the person who created the problem didn't realize this result.
