    A) A fraction

A number between 0 & 1 would undoubtedly be a fraction. Scientific Notation denotes a fraction/decimal by 10 to the power of however many places the decimal is at from the number.

An easy way to remember this is by thinking of it as a decimal, not a fraction:

    0 <.5 < 1
