If 4/7 of the apples are red, then 3/7 are green. Of these 2/9 are rotten.

    2/9 of 3/7 = 2/9 x 3/7 = 2/21 of the apples are rotten.

    2/21 of 63 = 2/21 x 63/1 = 6 rotten green apples.
