Susan received 15 calls on the first evening, 20 calls on the second evening and 60 calls on the third evening.

    Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Total calls received = 95 Let the calls received on the third evening be x. Then calls received on the first evening = x - 5 and the calls received on the second evening = 3x. Form an equation to find x.

    ⇒ x - 5 + 3x + x = 95

    ⇒ 5x - 5 = 95

    ⇒ x - 1 = 19

    ⇒ x = 20

    ⇒ x - 5 = 15 and 3x = 60
