    because there are 26 letters in the alphabet, and 10 numbers given (0-9)

    add both amount of characters: 26+10=36

    then put a number of numbers over the total amount of characters: 10/36

    now divide 10 by 36

    and you will get. 27777777, but since you said by the nearest hundredth, estimate and get

    =.277
