There will be 119 bats in total used.

Given the information above, we know the bottom row has 20. We can then count down in the number of rows by 1 until we get to 14 bats.

    Bottom - 20 bats

    Second row - 19 bats

    Third row - 18 bats

    Fourth row - 17 bats

    Fifth row - 16 bats

    Sixth row - 15 bats

    Top row - 14 bats

Now we can add each of them to get our total number.

    20 + 19 + 18 + 17 + 16 + 15 + 14 = 119 bats
