How much of an alloy that is 10 percent copper should be mixed with 500 ounces of an alloy that is 90?

    So 500ounces is 90% of the alloy.

    So 500:90

    Now divide both sides by 9.

    500/9:10

    So thats

    55.56:10 or

    55 5/9:10

    Or keep it as

    500/9:10
